Summer Vacation!
Big Papi at first base.
Virginia..Shenandoah National Park
Miss Helen Hauver of the Spencer West Virginia Branch....31 people in church.
Go Broncos! Notice the beautiful bronco skirts....Thanks Grammy.
The Pier...with some darn good pizza.
This year we decided to chase those Broncos to the East Coast. We started our week long trip in Baltimore Maryland. The girls traveled very well...only one casualty...one pink bronco onesie, left on the airplane. Thursday morning....well mid morning...we headed out in the very wet muggy hotness to the Baltimore Zoo. Well to our surprise Baltimore is a bit sketchy! The Zoo was great, lots of cool animals that we have never seen before. Round 2 for day 2 was an Oriole game vs. our beloved Red Sox. We were surrounded by good fans and had a great time. Of course the Sox won. Friday earlier than Thursday morning we headed out through Virginia. We are big National Park fans so we had to make a trek through the Shenandoah National Park. It was so beautiful. Since we were in Virginia...part of Jeff's Mission...we had to eat Virginia style. So yes we ate at a Country Cookin. Holy Moly, the 4 pounds that I sweat off in Baltimore I gained in Virginia...yummy. Friday morning more driving to get to West Virginia. Wow, those are some beautiful green lush hills. We were able to visit and attend church in Jeff's most meaningful area...Spencer West Virginia. The people are AMAZING and very lovable. I learned a lot the few hours that I was with these people. So after some coursing Jeff finally took me through some deep woods to find the good ole homes of the back woods. Wow! But still not as bad as I thought. He keeps telling me well I didn't take you too deep. Don't worry I do thank him for that. On the way back to Baltimore we decided to take an adventure into Washington DC. Jeff had never been and we thought that it would be easier for Annabelle to enjoy the monuments with the lights on them. Wow it is beautiful and heart warming to see those monuments. Monday we were going to take it easy, but you know my kids and my husband...it was game day we couldn't just wait for the game. So we went to the National Zoo in Washington DC. Then it was GAME TIME. What a game!!! Again my kids were absolutely perfect at the game. Tuesday we went to the Chesapeake Bay and had local pizza on a pier. Then we safely returned home. I think that I am still hungover from the entire week. It was a fantastic week!!
