Montana Or Bust.

Very fresh newborn Buffalo.Big Horn Sheep

This past weekend we had the great opportunity to go on a family trip to Montana. Jeff had an away game in Montana. So Friday we headed to McCall for some much needed visitation with our Northern family. They so kindly opened their home to us. So Saturday morning we headed up Highway 12 through country that we together as a family have never been on! Hooray I love a new adventure. Shortly before game time we arrive in Missoula. Burr! We girls stuck out the game in the car in from the cold wind and some rain. Matadors won!! Good Game Jeff! Sunday morning we of course had to hit the "waterpark" that was inside of the hotel - sweet slides and some fun fountains. Then off to Yellowstone. I have said this before but, Wow my girls travel so well! Before we got to Yellowstone, to break up the trip we stopped at the Montana Grizzly Encounter, very cool low key bear exhibit. The 800 lb Grizzly even waved at us, good job, Brutus. We have never been in the North Entrance of Yellowstone, so took the extra milage and entered from the top, so before you get to the Entrance you travel in an open fielded canyon, of course filled with wildlife. Before we even got to Yellowstone we saw, Elk, Deer, Antelope, Big Horn Sheep and Buffalo. Then we got into the "Park." Sorry just wanted to feel like a native. Once again we weren't let down by the majesticness of the National Park. We actually were within seconds of seeing 2 wolves. Well at least we got to follow the tracks following along the road for quite a few miles. Shucks!! A car going the other direction pointed them out 2 seconds after they went into the thickness of the trees. Staying in West Yellowstone was fun, good pizza if you ever are wondering, and of course another swimming pool. Monday we finally headed home. Thank you family for the amazing vacation.
